What L1fe Tone does
L1fe Tone plays tones, beats and noise through your device. Some of its settings pulse the sound in a steady rhythm, a few times a second up to forty times a second. For most people that is simply a sound. For a few, rhythmic input of any kind deserves care.
Please do not use it if
- you have epilepsy or any history of seizures, unless your doctor says it is fine. Steady, rhythmic pulses of light or sound can trigger a seizure in some people with epilepsy. The Isochronic setting pulses the sound on and off; if pulsed sound or light has ever affected you, do not use that setting.
- you are driving, operating machinery, or doing anything that needs your full attention.
Please check with your doctor first if
- you are pregnant;
- you have tinnitus or another hearing condition;
- you have any medical condition you are unsure about.
Listening well
- Start with the volume low. Loud audio, especially through headphones, can damage hearing. The app limits its own output, but your device volume is up to you.
- We recommend air-tube earphones: the kind where sound travels up a hollow tube, with no metal or wiring at your ear. However, any stereo headphones will work.
- Fifteen to thirty minutes is a comfortable session.
- Stop if you feel dizzy, uncomfortable or unwell.
What L1fe Tone is not
L1fe Tone is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional care. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. The names and notes in its library come from traditional, research-discussed or experimental sources and are offered for interest, not as medical advice or a promise of any effect.
